Camps and retreats have always been a valuable part of our ministry.  We have been taking children and teens on camping for over 30 years thanks to the financial support of sponsors each year.  Our camps are designed by our staff to reach inner-city youth.  Full camp sponsorships are $200 per person but a donation of any amount will be combined with others to insure a child in need of support will be blessed with a camp trip he or she will remember forever!

Please visit our DONATE tab to give a sponsorship of any amount and select “camp” to designate.  Or if you prefer, send a check to our mailing address with the word “camp” in the memo.  For more information please watch our 2019 camp video under the media tab.

Full camp sponsors will receive a letter from the child you sponsored and all camp sponsors can watch our camp videos at the end of the season online.

CAMP LETTERS AND PHOTOS

Thank you so much for your kind donations. I had a wonderful experience, and I’m truly grateful for your support. I made many fun memories during this time. One of my favorite moments was stargazing—the way the stars shined brightly in the sky was so beautiful. I also made new friends and reconnected with old ones. We had a great time learning about God and what He has done for us so we can live and have heaven. This experience truly felt like a dream and helped me find a sense of inner peace. We also enjoyed many fun activities like swimming, art, chess, and dodgeball.

Your kindness really touched me. Thank you so much again.  Diana

Thank you for paying for my camping trip. I had so much fun participating in most of the games and eating the food, which was really good. Most of all, I enjoyed learning about God’s love, friendship, relationships, and harmony. The hikes were really exciting—we even saw a bear! We also came across an abandoned cabin while hiking, and at one point a bat flew near my face. Hiking was amazing, as well as the zipline at night, which was scary but fun.

The games were cool, and I got closer to a lot of people and made new friends. I was on the orange team, and we won by earning so many points. One of the best activities was the boat race, where we designed a boat out of cardboard, painted it, and added lots of creative details. There were four teams: Irish (green team), Awesome Possums (pink team), Blue Dudes (blue team), and OG Outlaws (orange team). After spending four days at camp, it was amazing to connect with others and learn more about God. Our orange team’s Bible verse was James 5:16a: “Therefore confess your sins to one another and pray for one another so that you may be healed.”

Sincerely, Nicole

Thank you for paying so I could go on this trip. I had so much fun, and I really liked how we grew closer as a group. If I could go back, I definitely would!

Everybody there was super nice, and the food was really good. I also made new friends from different groups. The night hikes were really cool—we got to explore an abandoned cabin, which was both scary and exciting. The pool was great too! I liked that it had a slide. Overall, I thought the camp was a 10/10. I would go back anytime if I could. Thank you again for paying for this experience! During Bible time, I learned that you can’t truly love someone if you don’t believe in Jesus. I also learned how to forgive others. Thank you again for this amazing experience!

Sincerely, Christopher Manzo

P.S. One of my memory verses from camp is: "Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.”
