Inmates receive God’s love in San Jose

In April The Way Out Ministries Philippines (TWOP) was happy to partner in mission with our friends Rosalinda Pastro Magarau and Shynalyn Loreto of the Campus Christian Ministry (CCM) at Occidental Mindoro State College in San Jose.  TWOP provided eighty Tagalog hard cover Bibles and also sent finances to provide a meal of soup and bread and individual hygiene kits for inmates at a local jail. The team brought God’s love to the inmates by bringing their Christian friendship and service.  Students from CCM led worship and interacted with the inmates. Rosalinda introduced her husband and another pastor who presented the gospel message.  Many men and women received Christ and were given a Bible to read.  As God would have it, some of the Bibles were left over and later used to bless eleven area pastors with a copy for themselves!

Partners In Mission

The Philippines has approximately 3,000 named islands out of its total of 7,641 islands. About 2,000 of those islands are inhabited. The islands are grouped into three main areas: Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao.  Even in our three short years of ministry at TWOP we now know ministers and ministries in all three areas and want to help them all—even in some small way.  TWOP looks forward to sharing Jesus with the Filipino people in a broader and more influential way by developing Partners in Mission with individual ministers, churches and Christian organizations throughout the Philippines that are Biblically sound, actively serving people and desire material, relational and financial assistance.

We desire to partner with people and organizations that welcome  our friendship and accommodate the mission trips of our associates– Those who will both privately and publically share in mission and communicate with our organization and its representatives in clear, honest, friendly and transparent ways.  As our resources increase at TWOP so will our outreach through such Partners in Mission— advancing the gospel in all the island groups of the Philippines and giving U.S.  Christians the opportunity to visit and do mission trips there. Please pray that God will help us build these relationships of Partners in Mission as we also grow Team Partners (see above ad) that make all these dreams come true!

TWOP is accepting applications for next year’s  Mission Trip to the Philippines tentatively set for October 5-16, 2026.  The intensive mission includes air, land and sea travel and rigorous physical activity. 4 mandatory mission classes of 90 minutes each are also required. This is a great opportunity to minister the gospel to the Filipino people living in the city and outskirts of San Jose, Occidental Mindoro.  Mission  Applications are due by May 4, 2026— Cost is  $2,500 per person— For more info. and applications contact: Rachel Perez, TWOP         Coordinator of Missions at: rachel@thewayout.org

Tagalog? No problem!

TWOP is proud to announce that we are using technology to bridge the communication gap in languages within our ministry. We are using Chat GPT, an artificial intelligence application to interact freely with our partners now.  All of our documents, letters, and even personal conversations can be perfectly translated from English to Tagalog and visa versa. There is even a real-time translating service that we are looking into for mission trips that can translate between two people in person while enjoying some of that sweet Filipino coffee.  Tagalog?             No problem!  Jesus?  Let’s talk about Him!
