Walk to the Cross

This year’s Walk to the Cross felt different… More than ever, it seems our city, our country, and our world are in desperate need of Jesus.  As we walked through the streets of Hawaiian Gardens, we were able to offer a powerful, visual representation of Christ’s love to the community. People came out with tears in their eyes, silently watching as the graphic procession moved past them. The participants all had their own life stories of the transformation that Jesus worked in each of them because of His amazing grace and unfailing love. The reason Christ carried that cross and died upon it so long ago was for the countless lives like them saved, changed, and redeemed by His love throughout the ages. The reenactment was somber. It was powerful. And it was a reminder that even in the darkest times, Jesus walks with us and works through us. His love is reaching the hearts of those who need it most. “For God so loves the world” (John 3:16-18)

Philippines Outreach

In April The Way Out Ministries Philippines (TWOP) was happy to partner in mission with sister Rosalinda of the Campus Christian Ministry (CCM) at Occidental Mindoro  State College in San Jose.  We provided eighty Tagalog hard cover Bibles and also helped to provide food and hygiene kits for the student-led outreach to inmates at a local jail where the gospel was presented.  Many inmates received Christ!  All of the inmates received a Bible.  We even had enough to bless local pastors with one!  We look forward to partnering with many such ministries all over the Philippines.  For more information on TWOP visit thewayout.org  and click on “International” in the menu.
