MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM OUR STAFF!

THANKSGIVING

The Way Out, Hawaiian Gardens held our  42nd annual Thanksgiving Day Dinner where three staff and thirty volunteers hosted and fed over 200 people from the community. A special thanks is extended to Supervisor Hahn’s office for help in this program.

NEWS FROM TEXAS

Also in November, The Way Out California sent Team 2 to Fort Worth, Texas under the direction of Ryan Bruce where he and volunteers finished all the renovations and decorations at our new ministry center there.  The team was able to build, stain and finish four custom pieces of furniture, paint three indoor wall murals, install wall tile, repair a ceiling, wallpaper, and put in some home furnishings. Director, Rachel Perez and her family also built and installed desks, wall cabinets, and other equipment.  Director’s Assistant, Cheryl Martin also stocked shelves with food, clothes and supplies. Plans are now underway to open  the resource center in January and to begin our first weekly meeting there— a Recovery In Christ 12 step program.  Impact Seminars are also being planned which are a free series of teachings designed to equip adults with practical skills for community outreach.   Please pray for our upcoming Grand Opening in Fort Worth, Texas and come if you can!  The celebration day is Friday, January 9, 2026—4PM-7PM.  Founders Barry and Terryl Bruce will be there to share some words of encouragement.  There will also be tours throughout the evening, a ribbon cutting and good food.

GIFTS TO THE PHILIPPINES

The Way Out Philippines sent emergency gifts of food to San Jose, Occidental Mindoro once hundreds of flood-displaced families returned home (or to what was left of them) after the onslaught of tropical Cyclone “Crising” and heavy monsoon rains.  Our partnership in San Jose allowed us to help feed both the church, their surrounding neighbors and the Mangyan people (in the outlands of the city) who they minister to.

For Christmas we were also able to send gifts of musical instruments and a portable basketball set for use at both the church and a public school in San Jose. Instruments Included: Key board, Guitar, Djembe (drum), and a portable battery mixer, microphone and cables.  All for use in praise & worship!

CALIFORNIA CHRISTMAS

Hawaiian Gardens celebrated Christmas with our annual packed out concert followed by a day of outreach that included our annual Christmas party for our homeless friends, a Christmas party for kids and our annual Christmas Store—where parents in need were able to wrap their children a gift provided by our donors—special thanks to Good Shepherd Church of Los Alamitos and the Los Angeles Mission for providing gift donations!

This Christmas and always we will continue to bring the music, message and outreeach of Jesus who gives hope, peace, joy and love to all who call upon His name!

Terryl and I want to thank all of our partners for making this year such a great one.  Your love in deed and truth     (1 John 3:18) has touched so many lives.  Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year!
