JESUS LOVES THE CITIES

Our Jesus Loves The Cities volunteer events in February were great opportunities to show the Love of Jesus to the people in Hawaiian Gardens, California once again and in Fort Worth, Texas at our inaugural event held on Valentine’s Day.

JESUS LOVES FW

Jesus Loves Fort Worth was the first official outreach of The Way Out Ministries since its grand opening in the city in January 2026.  Director, Rachel Perez and her assistant Cheryl Martin organized 19 volunteers.  Rachel’s report follows:

Jesus Loves FW was a powerful outreach where so many people, walking through different challenges, experienced the love and comfort of Christ. Cheryl and I were moved by the compassion and dedication of our volunteers. This is just the beginning, and we are so excited to see all that God will continue to do through this center and through the hearts of those called to serve along side us.

JESUS LOVES HG

In Hawaiian Gardens more than 50 people served the city by cleaning streets, washing cars, distributing food and clothing, doing laundry, praying for people, and  sharing the gospel. The annual outreach has been showing people the love of Jesus in deed and truth since 2016.

TWIN FALLS MISSION

A youth mission team of thirteen people from Twin Falls Reformed Church (TFRC) in Idaho, led by Youth Director Tanner Smith, Director of Missions, Kristy Pickett and Youth Intern Miken Stellingwerf— blessed  The Way Out Ministries, California (after 15 hours of  driving)  for a week of outreach in Hawaiian Gardens. The group shared their testimonies and prepared a potato snack for our Zion youth, interacted and prayed with our homeless friends at Grace Stop and set up and served children at our Resurrection Celebration party. The busy group also did a service day at the ministry center where they deep cleaned the facility and organized closets.  The team did get a free evening to hang out at Pacific City in Huntington Beach and have a bon fire at Bolsa Chica Beach—but no time for a shower!

The next morning the group was out in the streets doing team outreach with staff and volunteers from The Way Out—ending the day with a night of worship with our young adults.  They left early Friday morning to make it home for Holy Week back in Idaho!  What a wonderful time it was to interact and serve with such a fine group of Christians. TFRC—your ambassadors sure made a fine impression for both the church and Jesus!  Thank you for your love and support!
